food was great and we didn't wait long at all for it! My 3y/o and I stopped here midway on our 3 hour long drive & can't say enough good things, including her! Everyone treated us wonderfully and our server, Nikki, was phenomenal. Without getting too personal - it sure is heartwarmingly refreshing to have people treat you so amazing when you're going through the pits. Thanks again to everyone there! It was just what we needed

We stopped here for breakfast on the way to the Steam Railroading Institute. It's really homey inside, and bigger on the inside than outside. Service is super friendly and attentive, glasses never were empty. The breakfast menu is compact, but has a lot of different options. Portions are very generous, and I really appreciated that they have lunch early so my daughter could have grilled fish - she's not a breakfast fan. Everything was very tasty, my biscuits and gravy was huge, and the eggs were a nice topper. Everyone liked what they had, and we all left with full bellies for our ride to CMU.

10/10 would go here again! Always greeted with a smile and served by the sweetest waitresses! They promptly made my food and rushed it out hot! Wonderful experience!

Food: While the prices are a little high for the surrounding area, you definitely get enough food for what you pay. Helpings are big and it tasted pretty good. Service: This is why I'm giving four stars instead of three. Staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and did everything to make me feel welcome. I can't speak highly enough of them! Ambiance: A bit of a John Wayne and cowboy overload. Be prepared for politically conservative kitsch and Fox "News" blaring from the many TVs. Really detracted from the experience. Despite my high star rating, I probably won't be back. I'm definitely not their target demographic.

Great food and great people clean been goin there for years always great food always fast service

We've been going to Nick's at least once a month for the past few years. Great food, great service, good prices.

Good food. Great service. Nachos and shrimp basket are the go to's for us! There is a bar area as well.

Big ass yummy salads and good sandwiches. Chicken parmigiana is my kids favorite, comes with Alfredo pasta, which is different but good for them.

Excellent food always has been most likely always will be. Nick cares about feeding his customers and does it very well.

Passing back this way after a trip to Grand Haven for the Coast Guard Festival, we stopped at Nick's Hometown Grill for lunch. The restaurant is much larger than it first appears to be. The hostess and waitress were very friendly and helpful, restaurant was clean and the food was great. Including large portions. My friend got the regular chicken quesadilla and said it was very delicious. They also have a southwest chicken quesadilla so that's why I differentiate those two different quesadillas. I had the southwest chicken salad and it was really good. It had seasoned chicken, beans, corn, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. The southwest ranch dressing is awesome! There were also a few tortilla chips in the side. We both had such large portions that we took carry out boxes home with us!
